LINKES Forest Garden

LINKES is a community-led group, started by and governed by local people. We provide opportunities for learning and well-being and to utilise our community facilities for the benefit of the community.

Linkes volunteers and youth club members have designed and planted a variety of fruit trees and bushes in a green space within our estate to establish a small Forest Garden. We have also installed six raised beds, alongside our orchard, where we will grow vegetables and herbs and planted additional fruit trees to extend the orchard further. Food grown will be shared with volunteers and the wider community at community events, with a long term view to producing food for our community shop.
